Recycling Coordinator I is full time (38 hr/wk M+F 8-3, TWTh 8-4) position focusing on developing, implementing and maintaining employment opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities (participants). Recycling Coordinator drives a U-Haul-type box truck with lift gate system to collect recyclable materials with participants. Must have clean DMV driving record; only typical class C driving license needed though higher type Driving license (class B or A) a plus. Eligible candidates must pass DOJ and FBI live scan fingerprinting by Community Care Licensing (even expunged misdemeanors will be flagged by them), have a clear DMV record and the ability to use a computer for email and written reports. Clearance will also provide ability to enter state facilities for pickups. High School Diploma or equivalent required, 1 year of experience working with persons with disabilities and A.A. degree preferred. Starting wage $14/hour. Pay increase after 6 months and again after successful completion of 12 months working with Southside Art Center. Southside Art Center's Employment Services Department is accepting candidates for a Recycling Job Coach position in Sacramento. Position will focus on developing, implementing and maintaining employment opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities (participants). High School diploma or equivalent required. Some experiences in Human Services and/or vocational training services. Physically able to assist participants to perform job tasks. Good written and verbal communication skills. Valid driver's license, proof of insurance and clean DMV required. Ability to drive U-Haul sized truck and a standard vehicle as needed. Pay is $12.50 to start, with health benefits on the first of the month after 60 days of successful employment. Additional benefits after six months and one year of successful employment. Position is 36 hours per week, between 8am and 4 pm Monday through Friday. Southside Art Center has an opening in their Passage Programs for Adaptive Skills Trainer's (AST) who support and train adults with developmental disabilities & behavioral challenges in a community based setting. AST's provide support with life skills, behavioral support training, job development and training, creative problem solving, and teamwork. Passage is an individualized program with positions available in our Sacramento/Elk Grove/Galt location (Passage program staff work between sites located in Sacramento, Elk Grove, and Galt) and our Auburn/Roseville locations. We offer a positive working environment and ongoing training.

Southside Passage Program is looking for individuals who:
• Are energetic and creative
• Enjoy finding opportunities for others to work and excel in the community
• Can think on their feet

Qualifications:
• Be familiar in working with adults with developmental disabilities, such an Intellectual Disability, Autism, Downs Syndrome, etc.
• Be familiar working with individuals who communicate through behavioral excesses
• Applicants must have a clear DMV printout and a reliable insured vehicle which they will use to transport participants with mileage reimbursement
• Minimum 1 year experience with individuals with behavioral challenges preferred
• Some college preferred, though experience in lieu of formal education is accepted
• Knowledge of and access to computer and internet/email access required to transmit daily, weekly, and yearly reporting and paperwork

Adaptive Skills Trainers work M-F, between the hours of 8:30-4, 36 hours/week (hour each day determined by site). Starting wage is $11.80/hour.
